How are hyaluronic acid injections performed?

Once the procedure is complete, the doctor massages the treated areas to achieve optimal distribution of the injected product.

How often are hyaluronic acid injections needed?
The effects of hyaluronic acid fillers last for varying lengths of time, depending on the type of product used and the area in which it was administered. However, since hyaluronic acid eventually resorbs and is absorbed by the body, the effects are not permanent. To achieve lasting results, injections must be repeated every 6 to 24 months.

Most patients tolerate the injection without irritation or complication and do not require any recovery time. However, immediately after the treatment, the area may be red, swollen and bruised, but this disappears within a few days. Â
