Description

JUVÉDERM VOLUMATM XC is a dermal filler based on hyaluronic acid that was recently approved by the FDA and is now available to customers in the United States. It contains a small amount of lidocaine, an anesthetic that is intended to lessen discomfort at the injection site.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMATM XC was created with the use of VYCROSSTM technology, which enables the creation of a filler with a reduced molecular weight (90 percent) of hyaluronic acid. This filler has high viscosity qualities that encourage the retention of molecular structure after injection into the epidermis. This improves its capacity to firm sagging skin that appears around the cheeks and mid-facial area as a result of illness, aging, weight loss, or loss of bone density, and volumize hollow areas.
